From Darrell Probst's breeding efforts, 'Red Satin' features ruby red flowers that hold up very well in the heat. The deep green threadleaf foliage is virtually covered in flowers throughout the summer, from May to October, and as with other Coreopsis, it is drought tolerant and an excellent choice for the sun garden in combination with coneflowers, daylilies, Rudbeckia, sedums, and ornamental grasses.
