Gypsum is a great soil conditioner, improving or rebuilding soil so it is more usable, and can be used to maintain soils in peak condition. Pelletized Gypsum is often used as part of a strategy to correct compacted soil or soil with large amounts of clay. It can also be used to counteract excessive saline levels in soil from pet spots or winter salt applilcations and has the added benefit of not affecting the pH of soil.
