Exceptionally versatile and popular, this European trailing evergreen ground cover is one of the finest for large plantings where a lush, low maintenance evergreen cover is desired. Leaves are typically 3 or 5-lobed, dark shiny green, and 2 to 3 inches long. Stems root as they spread, and with support (such as a brick wall or tree trunk) produce aireal root-like projections which allow it to climb. Planting after Sept. 1st or in wind exposed locations is not recommended for any ivy.
