Selected by Chris vanSanden, this exceptionally robust selection produces the largest, deepest purple snapdragon-like flowers of any Lamium. Arranged in larger denser terminal spikes (of up to 30 flowers per spike), the flowers jump right out of the bright silvery foliage from spring through fall. Further decorating each flower is a bright white V-shaped central marking. 'Purple Dragon' is a hot selection bound to become popular. It combines well with irises, heucheras, tiarella, daylilies, astilbes, bergenia, and countless ferns.
