From England, `Carl' is distinct among the upright sedums for its compact habit, bluish foliage, and very bright, very large, exceedingly vibrant pinkish-red, late summer and fall blooming flowers. Different than `Autumn Joy', `Brilliant' and `Neon', the flowers of `Carl' deliver an extra punch that makes them stand out. `Carl' is reliable and drought resistant, thrives in well drained soil and makes the perfect companion to goldenrod, asters, ornamental grasses, Rudbeckia, Shasta daisies, and other sedums.
