Arising as a sport of Vinca minor 'Bowles', this selection is characterized by dark, glossy green, white margined foliage. Deep lilac spring- and fallborne flowers are numerous and larger than the species. I registered this cultivar during the autumn of 1987; and named it in honor of Ralph Shugert, a dear friend and accomplished American horticulturist.
