Selected at Walters Gardens as a sport of the cultivar `Langtrees', `Jack Frost' is an award winner with large silver frosted foliage and attractive green veins. `Jack Frost' blooms during spring with whispy forget-me-not blue flowers and serves to brighten up the shade garden. It is a refined yet surprisingly quick-to-mature specimen plant and serves well as an edging or companion to dark leaved forms of Heuchera, ajuga, and bergenia as well as Dicentra, blue leaved hostas, geraniums, crested iris, and black mondo grass.
