Selected for even more brilliant foliage, the juvenile leaves of 'Brilliance' TM are lustrous, golden orange, and as they enlarge, turn rich green. During summer, most fronds are dark green with red sori under the leaves, but at any given time, there may be a number of colorful juvenile leaves to lend contrast. During fall the entire plant takes on hues of red and orange. Tough, drought tolerant, and long lived, 'Brilliance'(TM) is a fine ground cover when mass planted, especially on sloping terrain. It looks great in planters, terraces, alongside stairways, and lining garden pathways. It is also excellent for accent, and combines well with other ferns, hostas, iris, sedges, heucheras, bergenia, brunnera, and various wildflowers.
