Neat and compact, 'Blue Mouse Ears' is a miniaturized blue hosta, exceptional for the shady rock garden, as a small scale ground covering, dwarf edging around patios and pathways, and as a companion to Heuchera, sedges, dwarf crested iris, European Ginger, and other miniature hostas. Its leathery, cup shaped foliage is soft blue-green, gently curled, and only 3 inches long by 2 inches wide. During summer, it bears lovely, trumpet shaped, hummingbird attracting, lavender flowers upon short stems. 2008 Hosta of the Year, American Hosta Grower's Association.
