`Pinkie' is like the cultivar `Minus' but with its foliage picking up a rich rosy blush during cool weather. Once the growing season progresses its color transitions to a rich gray-blue. `Pinkie' is a fine choice for filling between stepping stones, rock retaining walls, and as a small scale ground cover. It flowers during mid season with pinkish white flowers borne upon compact branches. Interesting companions include Sedum ellacombianum, `Immergrunchen', and `Tekaridake' as well as hen and chicks, iris, and heuchera selections.
